Netball News Letter
Welcome to all the members of Bossley Sports club Inc for the Netball code this is the first letter for 2008.
To all our new members it is great to see you join our great club.
To all our members who have been with the club before welcome back it is great to see you all return.
Allocation Day
The numbers for allocation day was down this year so I need to just run over some information that was given to all the members that did attend.
Delegates
The delegates for are Cheryl Mulvey Netball Secretary

All these Delegates have commitments to the teams they are involved with so if they are coaching could you please contact another delegate or after they have finished coaching so they can take care of their duties with the team they are involved with. No problem is too big or to small, please feels welcome if you do need to ask a question, communication is a wonderful.
Support of all members:
If everyone can lend a hand or even just support each team like they did last season it brings everyone together it makes for a very enjoyable season. With everyone’s enthusiasm last season the club was awarded the Club of the Year for 2007 from Fairfield City District Netball Association. Thankyou for all your support many hands make light work.
Representative Members:
This season we have one player who is a representative player for Fairfield City Under 13’s congratulations to Gabriella Di Grazia.
The club also has other members who representative the club in other ways the Current president of Fairfield District is a member of our club, the Current district umpire conveyor for Fairfield City is with our club, within the club we have members who are representative coaches
and there are also members on the competitions committee for Fairfield District. So no club is too small or big to have members who can represent the club in any way.
Coaches:
Every team this year has one coach who has either their OTC or LEVEL 1 accreditation for coaching thankyou to all the members for lending your support and sharing you expertise.
Umpires:
Umpires are a very big important part of a club because no team can play a game without an umpire, so at every game where we have a team to take the court we have to provide an umpire from our club. As like last season we are in need of umpires every competition team needs to have a least 3 umpires nominate from their team to umpire during the season to make light work even with 3 umpires nominating this means they will have to umpire at least 5 games during season so the more we have the less pressure we have to put on everyone, otherwise a player will have to come of their game and umpire instead of playing please help, with all the new and young umpires will have a runner to help them out. Otherwise teams might have to be dropped. Last season we had a lot of members who put up their hands and they only had to umpire a couple games during the season please lend your support.
Players Needed:
We have some places left for players so everyone ask all your friends if they would like to join us. The teams where the players are needed are 5 year – 6year olds 1-2 places.
9 year olds we have 11 players in one team it would be great to have 2 teams in this age group so we need 5-7 players. We already have a coach on stand by.
11 year olds 1-2 places.
12 year olds 1-2 places.
Training:
Training has started for some teams already or are starting this Friday 7/03/2008. Training at Marconi is only on Friday night as the club has had to indemnity this season so no teams can train on any other night at Marconi . If Friday night is not connivent for you, you can train at Endeavour but you have to let Cheryl know because she has to contact the district and as the club has to pay a fee to train at Endeavour for the use of the lights. So if there is team’s training on different nights they really need to work it out and train on the same night at Endeavour.
Sponsors:
The netball code is looking for sponsors in the form of Teams sponsors like last year with their support every player in the club received a club tracksuit with the sponsor name on it. This season we only have 2 team sponsors so far and we were hoping from the last coaches and managers meeting last season to be a to have team sponsor’s to provide all the new players to club with a club tracksuit with the sponsor name of it and all the other players who have a tracksuit if a team sponsor change the new sponsor would have their name put on the old jacket and we also wanted to purchase or all the teams with equipment to be able to be used at training so each team would have their own equipment with coaching aids. The cost is $550.00.
Umpiring sponsor this is the most important sponsor for the netball code so we can give all the umpires a bit of pocket money so can they can still enjoy their chosen sport and not work on Saturdays, instead no team can take the court without an umpire we really need to support for all our umpires. The awarded umpires would receive a white shirt to umpire in with the sponsor or sponsor’s name on it and we would be able to keep on educating our umpires with courses and up dating on their skills. The cost last season just to support the umpires was around $2,000.00 please help with your support.
The last sought of sponsor is a business sponsor who would have their business cards on display on a Saturday and their business would be advertising in the Newsletter given to every member the cost is $100.00.
All sponsors would be advertised in our Newsletter and at presentation if they have a sign or banner it can be shown on display at the netball courts on a Saturday. Please contact Cheryl.

Wetherill Park Branch is a sponsor for Soccer and Netball all they would like the members to do is, if you are need of a house loan please try them, for any loan taken out by our members we receive also a commission.
This year Panthers at ST Johns Park have sponsored our Club, members over 18 to join the club the cost will be $ 2.20 a year (when joining and filling out the paperwork just let the club know you are from Bossley Sports Club) or every time you attend the club.
